In 2018, we collaborated with esteemed names such as Tiffany & Co, Brut, and Glenlivet Whisky to create captivating duty-free shops in Qatar. These projects showcase Havelock One’s prowess in executing high-quality contracting work, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing shopping experience for travellers.

Expanding on this portfolio, our Qatar based fit out teams extended their expertise to the F&B sector. In 2019, we undertook the contracting for Marche, a distinguished F&B retail outlet at HIA. Subsequently, in 2020, we successfully completed projects for Red, Harrods Tea Room, and Excess Baggage, solidifying their reputation in the airport’s F&B retail landscape.

We were instructed to complete the custom manufacturing, supply and installation of a new luxury retail boutique for world-renowned fashion house, Alexander McQueen, in Place Vendome Mall, Qatar.

Our scope included the majority of the millwork components and finishes, including mid-floor fixtures, wall-cladding and a unique shaped ceiling clad, for this we worked with walnut veneer and aged brass metal, synonymous with high-end luxe.

The custom manufacturing of all elements was executed to an excellent standard and the overall finish looks stunning in this incredible space.

Starbucks

Havelock One has been working with Starbucks for over 20 years, delivering volume manufacturing for a multitude of store type across the GCC and beyond. We have now successfully completed over 1,500 stores as part of this long-standing partnership.

Each store has bespoke custom designs, which the dedicated Havelock One team bring to life seamlessly, thanks to their unique understanding of the brand.

The team are fluent in the manufacture and fit out of all types of Starbucks stores including reserve, stand-alone, concessions and most recently its first ever LEED platinum store in the GCC.

Phantom pop-up at Duty Free

Havelock One has been manufacturing pop-up stores since 2019. However, Phantom is our first travel Retailtainment kiosk created under the supervision of our retail setting-out team. The store concept is unique, too, because of its “Retailtainment” feature, wherein the buyer is actively engaged with an AI-powered retailtainment game called ‘Dance with Phantom’.

The Phantom cologne for men by Paco Rabanne is launched by PUIG exclusively in airports. This fragrance has been described as a ‘futuristic aromatic’ scent and combines new technologies with luxury perfumery craftsmanship.

A kiosk design and manufacturing process requires intricate planning and attention to details. For this project, our setting-out team assessed the materials required and their dimensions; produced as-built drawings from the concept and sourced the complete hardware. Subsequently, we teamed up with a lighting company, procured LED screens and other gadgets with the support of our IT team’s expertise.

To replicate the structure of the kiosk exactly as shown in 3D visuals, our metal team had to determine the mechanical calculations required for the two-angled metal legs to hold the 600kg canopy at a height of 7.55 ft. We assembled the finished components and made sure all the hardware worked in sync as per client expectation and tested the software before the structure’s dispatch. Extra care was taken by creating custom-made shipping crates to transport the kiosk and to ensure we delivered it damage free and ready for use.

Phantom was launched in Qatar Duty Free on 1^st July 2021 and later shipped to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

The high-quality joinery element within the stores enables us to showcase our ability to manufacture luxurious fixtures benefiting the store environment and experience.

Bridgewater Chocolate

The enormous amount of marble within the Bridgewater Chocolate stores means that not only do Havelock One Interiors have to call on their expertise to produce the fixtures, but also to ensure that the product is safely packed and wrapped for export. Many products manufactured in Bahrain are shipped all over the GCC and as a result, packing specifications are essential to ensure the fittings arrive in the same excellent condition as they leave the factory.

Asha’s

Since 2007, Havelock One has manufactured the interiors for 17 Asha’s restaurants across the GCC and implemented the fit-out for six of these. The most recent full turnkey project is located at The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi and features the latest design conceived by LW Design Group. From start to finish, it took our UAE-based fit-out team 15 weeks to deliver the 4,500 sq. ft. F&B project. Our factory also supplied FF&E, joinery and metal works for Asha’s at Ajdan Walk, Al Khobar, which opened late 2019.

Inspired by Bombay Deco, LW reflected the spirit of the food served – unmistakably Indian with a modern twist. Patterns, symmetry, vintage, porcelain wood look tiles, leather, velvet, rattan screens and Asha’s signature orange greets from every corner; the magic and atmosphere live in the details. Every Jo Malone store that is manufactured in the Havelock One factory in Askar, Bahrain is built in our prototype area as it would be laid out within the store. Only then do the Jo Malone team come to inspect all fixtures. Havelock One’s rigorous quality control system ensures that inspections are merely brief meetings with little to nothing to object. Working with brands like Jo Malone, relationships are formed to ensure all parties involved understand what each others’ expectations are.

The P.F. Chang’s brand challenges our teams to demonstrate their sophisticated fit-out and joinery / metal manufacturing capabilities. Materials used include walnut-veneered MDF and wood, iroko wood, Porcelanosa and brass metal-woven wire mesh, antique bronze mirrors, bronze-finished metal sheets, resin flooring and Trueform Concrete procured from New Jersey. The signature murals featuring Asian themes require a close collaboration with creatives and artists.
